Cityslides is a project by Drew Harris, Baltimore singer-songwriter who now resides in Philadelphia, PA. This project grew from the great local Baltimore gypsy-folk band, Good Guise. When Good Guise went on hiatus some members started playing Good Guise songs on the streets of Baltimore. The guys quickly started adding their original tunes to the mix and before long added a new name, Cityslides (after the first original song).
Started in Baltimore in 2007 during the hiatus of our other band, gypsy folk heroes, the Good Guise. Wrote about 15 songs and toured MD, PA and Jersey for about 2 years before recording it all live in Cape May, NJ in 2010. Since then the songwriter, Drew, has moved to Philly and still performs. The band plays occassionally and will release the final version of the record on vinyl fall 2011. Check their myspace.com/cityslides for solo and full band performance dates and look for a solo album from Drew later fall 2011.
