National Aboriginal Day 2011 is when Lena released her solo EP "Soul Speaking" at Dundas Square in Toronto. She continued to prepare for her follow up album "I Am Woman, Kwe". Her poetry film "Historical Landmark" premiered at imagineNATIVE Film + Media Festival before she opened for Buffy Sainte Marie after a mentorship with the icon! She was offered the opportunity following a performance with Martha Redbone and Red Slam Collective in 2010.

IN:TRANSIT is the first Spoken Word and Poetry album to be recorded and produced collaboratively in the Philippines and in the Philippine Diaspora. The album features the work of artists from Manila, Philippines and Toronto, Canada.
They are two groups of Filipinos who live more than 13 000 kms apart. Manila meets Toronto as these young poets unite to offer you stories from the heart:
Lena Recollet is an alumni of The Centre for Indigenous Theatre, a multi-disciplinary artist who mixes it up, sometimes combining her visual arts, poetry and singing has earned her the title “Renaissance Woman”- Manitoulin Expositor, Robin Burridge. Mentored by artists such as Martha Redbone, Digging Roots and Buffy Sainte Marie, Lena is an emergng spoken word poet and singer.
